  6. next NewtNews.  As soon as I know how to get this software I will
  7. let all NewtNews readers in on the secret.

  12.         MessagePad Users with POPMail accounts can finally look forward
  13. to a fully functioning POP/SMTP client in time for the Holidays.
  14.         "Codenamed "MoonLight", and in final beta as you read this,
  15. sources claim that Users will be able to "compose messages
  16. off-line with a very cool Editor, log on, send or receive
  17. POPmail either as text or binary Newton documents (Appointments,
  18. Dates, Notes, Names & Business Cards, with or without Graphics),
  19. and log off with relative ease."
  20.         And best of all, this pre-Yuletide arrival will be priced
  21. right: Free.
  22.         Freatures:
  23.       1. Codename is "MoonLight".
  24.       2. True POP/SMTP Client for Newton.
  25.       3. Sends/receives all native binary Newton applications
  26.          (Appointments, Dates, Notes, Names & Business Cards,
  27.          etc.) with or without Graphics.
  28.       4. Non-newton recepiant of a mail message (Say, a Eudora
  29.          User) won't get Newton graphics, of course, but will
  30.          receive the message as text.

  33. be a final beta candidate.
  34.     It's free because Developer wanted to "get this technology out
  35. into the hands of the Newton community as soon as possible".
  36.     This version isn't designed to work over ethernet, but instead
  37. to call in to one's POP/SMTP server over standard telephone lines
  38. like you do with Eudroa via SLIP.
